Cocktail shot Blue Mexican
Origin of the recipe
This cocktail is similar in composition to a Blue Margarita, but the difference lies not only in the proportions but also in the preparation method. It's a multi-layered shot, the kind that delight partygoers and nightclubbers alike, and it truly lives up to the word "cocktail"—a rooster's tail composed of multicolored feathers. The bright citrus flavor and exotic tequila pair beautifully.

Step-by-step recipe
Step 1:
Pour 20 ml of Blue Curacao liqueur into a shot glass.
Step 2:
Place the back, disc-shaped part of a bar spoon on the top layer of liqueur.
Step 3:
Point the bar dispenser at the spoon and pour lemon juice into the shot glass.
Step 4:
Place the disc on the back of a bar spoon slightly above the layer of lemon juice.
Step 5:
Pour the tequila down the handle of the bar spoon, lifting the bar spoon onto the top of the tequila layer.
Cooking tips
To prevent the layers from mixing, lift the spoon while the drink flows down the handle. The disc at the end helps prevent the layers from mixing as you pour. When pouring drinks onto a bar spoon, be sure to use a measuring cup and don't pour too quickly. Otherwise, the layers may mix and the cocktail will not be beautiful.
