Step-by-step recipe
Step 1:
Cut off the top of each tomato and carefully scoop out the pulp with a spoon, leaving walls about 0.5-1 cm thick.
Step 2:
Use a knife to cut a small triangle out of the tomatoes.
Step 3:
Finely grate the cheese and transfer it to a bowl. Add the chopped garlic and mayonnaise. Mix well with a fork until smooth.
Step 4:
Fill each tomato cup with the cheese filling, pressing it down slightly.
Step 5:
Take a silicone bag or syringe with mayonnaise and squeeze out a white beard and mustache on Santa Claus's face.
Step 6:
Attach black peppercorns to the mayonnaise to make eyes and a nose.
Step 7:
Attach tomato lids to the top as hats. Decorate the hats with small drops of mayonnaise to create pom-poms. Serve immediately.
Cooking tips
For best results, use tomatoes that are uniform in size and round in shape.
For a richer flavor, you can add a pinch of paprika or dried herbs to the filling.
To prevent the tomatoes from losing their shape, do not make the walls too thin.
You can decorate in advance, but serve immediately so that the mayonnaise does not run.
Instead of black pepper, you can use sesame seeds or finely chopped olive oil.
For variety, make several options: with green hairs made from dill or with red caps made from sweet peppers.
