Step-by-step recipe
Step 1:
Wash the dates and remove the pits.
Step 2:
Place dates in a blender, add walnuts, half a banana and cocoa powder, blend until smooth.
Step 3:
Knead lightly until the dough is smooth and pliable.
Step 4:
Place the mixture into silicone muffin cups and press toward the edges to form a cupcake mold. Use some of the dough to make lids.
Step 5:
Place in the freezer for 5 minutes.
Step 6:
Cut the avocado, scoop out the flesh of one half and place it in a blender along with half a banana.
Step 7:
Add a tablespoon of oil.
Step 8:
Add cocoa powder and grind everything until smooth.
Step 9:
Add a teaspoon of honey and blend again.
Step 10:
Place the filling into the molds, smooth it out with a spatula, cover with “lids” and press them along the edges with a fork.
Step 11:
Turn the desserts out onto a plate, remove the moulds and serve.
Cooking tips
Before removing the pits, it is better to pour hot water over the dates – this will make it easier to remove the pits.
Vegans can use maple syrup instead of honey and coconut syrup instead of butter.
