Braised turkey with zucchini is an incredibly healthy, tender, and easily digestible dish. Turkey is high in protein and contains heart- and immune-boosting nutrients, while zucchini is rich in potassium and iron. Plus, the moisture in this vegetable makes the meat more tender. Interestingly, both turkey and zucchini originate from roughly the same places—they're both "American."
Step-by-step recipe
Step 1:
Finely chop the onion.
Step 2:
Grate the carrots on a coarse grater.
Step 3:
Cut the thigh fillet into small pieces.
Step 4:
Cut the zucchini into small cubes.
Step 5:
Add a little water to the heated frying pan.

Simmer the turkey until almost cooked through.
Step 9:
Add a heaping teaspoon of tomato paste.
Step 10:
Add the zucchini, salt and do not stir.
Step 11:
Cover and simmer for 5 minutes.
Step 12:
Stir and cook until the zucchini is done.
Cooking tips
For best results, cut the zucchini and fillet into pieces of equal size.
If you don’t have fresh, young zucchini, take a larger, older one, but you’ll need to remove all the skin and seeds.
