Step-by-step recipe
Step 1:
Cut the core out of the cabbage head to create a conical indentation.
Step 2:
Place the cabbage in a baking bag and microwave for 8 minutes at 800 watts.
Step 3:
Pour a liter of water into a saucepan, bring to a boil, add rice, cook for 5 minutes over medium heat, then rinse the rice in cold water.
Step 4:
Remove the outer leaves from the cabbage, return the remaining leaves to the bag and microwave for another 6-8 minutes at 800 W.
Step 5:
Separate the cabbage into leaves and lightly beat each leaf.
Step 6:
Dice the onion, pour vegetable oil into the frying pan and fry for 2 minutes over medium heat.
Step 7:
Cut the carrots into strips, add to the onion and cook for 3 minutes over medium heat.
Step 8:
Add the pureed tomatoes, stir, cook for a minute over medium heat, then cool.
Step 9:
Place the minced meat in a bowl, add black and red pepper, coriander, garlic powder and salt.
Step 10:
Add fried vegetables and rice to the minced meat and knead like dough.
Step 11:
Grease a baking dish with vegetable oil and line the bottom with cabbage leaves.
Step 12:
Place a layer of minced meat, smooth it out, and sprinkle with chopped parsley.
Step 13:
Repeat two more times, finishing with a layer of cabbage leaves.
Step 14:
Cut the contents of the pan into six pieces.
Step 15:
Place the tomato paste in a clean bowl, add half a teaspoon of salt and sugar, pour in 250 ml of water, stir and pour the mixture into the pan.
Step 16:
Cover the pan with foil and bake in the oven for 30 minutes at 200 degrees.
Step 17:
Reduce the temperature to 160 degrees and bake for another 90 minutes.
Step 18:
Sprinkle the casserole with herbs and serve.
Cooking tips
It is better to beat the cabbage leaves through film so as not to damage them.
The casserole should be cut before cooking so that it is well soaked with the filling.
