Bake real, fresh bread for breakfast or lunch with just four ingredients. A regular oven and a deep roasting pan with a lid will replace an expensive, complicated bread machine, and the results will be better than store-bought!
Step-by-step recipe
Step 1:
Pour warm water into a bowl, add dry yeast, dissolve, stirring and leave for 10 minutes.
Step 2:
Add flour and salt, mix.
Step 3:
Cover with a towel and leave at room temperature for 2 hours.
Step 4:
Dust the surface with flour, turn out and straighten the dough, then fold it over onto itself once or twice.
Step 5:
Roll the dough into a ball, cover with a towel and let rest for 30 minutes.
Step 6:
Heat a heavy-bottomed roasting pan with a lid in the oven and place the dough in it.
Step 7:
Make a cross-shaped cut on the future bread.
Step 8:
Cover the pan with a lid and bake for 30 minutes at 220 degrees.
Step 9:
Remove the lid and bake for another 15-20 minutes.
Cooking tips
Do not put the yeast in too hot water, otherwise it may die or become weakened.
Remove the heated pan carefully, using thick oven mitts.
