Bread stratum
Origin of the recipe
If you're too lazy to mess around with Charlotte dough, you can make a simpler American version using stale bread. In the classic strata, soaked bread is layered, hence the name, and the filling is cheese, meat, mushrooms, or vegetables. But we suggest making a simple sweet strata with baked apples.
