Step-by-step recipe
Step 1:
Break the eggs into a bowl.
Step 2:
Add sugar, salt and beat with a mixer until light foam.
Step 3:
Add softened butter.
Step 4:
Add cottage cheese and beat at medium speed for 2-3 minutes.
Step 5:
Sift flour and baking powder into the mixture.
Step 6:
Mix with a mixer at medium speed.
Step 7:
Peel the apples and cut into medium slices.
Step 8:
Line the bottom and sides of the pan with parchment paper, add the dough and smooth it out slightly.
Step 9:
Place the apple slices, pressing them into the dough.
Step 10:
Bake in an oven preheated to 180 degrees for 45 minutes.
Step 11:
Let the charlotte cool slightly, remove from the pan and sprinkle with powdered sugar if desired.
Cooking tips
It is better to take the butter out of the refrigerator in advance.
If you don't want any cottage cheese grains to be noticeable in the dough, blend it first or rub it through a sieve.
Check the readiness of the charlotte with a wooden stick – it should remain dry and clean.
